Independent English Lawyer and Chartered Tax Advisor, based in London

Before setting up my own legal Practice I worked in law firms in the City of London. Most work now comes from businesses and professional practices, based both in the UK and overseas. I specialise mainly in tax for businesses (both corporate tax and VAT) and international tax issues. I also do corporate and employment work.

My Practice (Robert Newey & Co) shares premises and resources with Chown Dewhurst LLP, an international tax consultancy. Both practices are members of the International Tax Specialists Group. Robert Newey & Co has been awarded Lexcel, the Law Society’s Practice Management Quality Mark.

I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and an Associate of the Institute of Indirect Taxation. I was a Visiting Fellow at the University of Essex.

I have always done a good deal of writing and lecturing. My main focus, however, is my professional practice.
